Creating a Business


One of the best parts of starting your own online business is the creative freedom it allows you to have. You can customize and design various parts of your website. You can determine completely how it looks and runs. You can pick the colors, font, different pages you want and so much more. An important thing is to consider the location of where everything will be located on your website. For example, you will want to make sure that the cart and checkout system are straightforward to find. You will also need to maintain a high level of professionalism. Something that will help you to do this is to be very organized and ensure that any pictures you have on your website are high quality. 

You will also need to decide what kind of business you will be running and how you will be recovering the funds for your product. Two great options on how to start are by either having an e-commerce website or a non-e-commerce website. 

An e-commerce business would target a bigger audience because it is a completely online business. It does not have a physical location. This will allow you to purchase your merchandise online and then have it shipped to you. A big disadvantage to this is sales tax is much harder to deal with. On the other hand, a non-e-commerce site has a physical location. You can not buy products online. You will either need to call and order them in person or go to the physical location. 

As you can see there are so many options on how to personalize your website. It really just comes down to what you believe will help your business be most successful.

Creating and Running a Business

 This week I have officially created my first business and started running it. I have learned a lot that I want to share with you. There are many different steps that I had never considered before. An obvious thing you need to do is create a website. You will also need to create a bank account where you will receive your payments. You will need a business email or other form of contact information. You will also need to decide if you will be requiring your customers to pay first or put a down payment on things. You will need to decide what your return policies will be. Shipping and how you go about that is another thing to take into account. As you can see there are many different things that you need to consider. These are all dictions that I made for my business this week.
